We researched some music videos and found similar genres and themes. We then looked at the specific shots that the directors used within them to see if there was some sort of consistency.
For Example:
Rihanna - Man Down
We liked the fact that they use different angles throughout the verse even though it is set within the same setting. This showed us the artists feeling about the situation she was in by using extreme close ups. We will use something similar to this in our video.
Eminem feat. Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie
This music video also shows the same themes throughout for example abuse and bad relationships. The shots used are very similar to the other video being that they use close ups of the artists to show their facial expressions and their emotions.
